Free, and free to use
These tools are free to use, for personal and commercial purposes alike, with no sign-up and no attribution required. If you find them useful, a link is welcome but nothing obliges you.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are. Conversions are tested and taken seriously, but no software of this kind is free of surprises, and a route file is not a promise about the world: roads close, tracks become impassable, a rebuilt route can follow a road you did not intend. Check the result before you set off, and never follow a file blindly on the road. D2ICS Srl accepts no liability for damage arising from use of the converted files.
About rebuilt routes
The Google Maps to GPX tool rebuilds the roads between your stops using a routing engine on OpenStreetMap data. The result is an approximation of the route you drew, not a copy of it, and the page says so where it matters. Always look at the preview map before downloading.
Fair use
The server-side tool leans on free services run by other people. Please do not automate requests against it: an hourly cap per connection is in place, and beyond that the tool would simply stop working for everyone. If you need volume, run your own routing engine - the code that talks to it is plain OSRM and openrouteservice, and both can be self-hosted.
Your data
See the Privacy page. In short: the two browser-side tools never receive your file, and the server-side one keeps nothing.
